Hi, I’m Tamsen, one of Minnesota’s most trusted microblading and permanent makeup artists. My focus is on creating timeless, natural results tailored to each individual—because your brows should reflect your beauty, not redefine it.

microblading

Ultra-natural hairstrokes to subtly enhance your brows.

Microblading, also known as nanoblading, is a cosmetic tattoo technique that uses a fine handheld tool to etch delicate, hair-like strokes into the skin. These strokes blend seamlessly into your natural brows, creating the illusion of more hair and soft fullness. This style is perfect for those who want a very natural enhancement and already have some brow shape and growth in place

    • normal to slightly dry skin-types

    • Clients with a fairly balanced natural brow shape

    • Those seeking a uber soft, subtle enhancement

  • This Style may not be the best fit if you have:

    • Oily or combination skin (strokes will not heal defined and blur over time)

    • Textured or porous skin in the brow area

    • Scars that need to be covered

    • Sensitive skin types

    • Thin mature skin

If any of these apply to you, Powder Brows or Combo Brows may be a better fit.

  • Initial Session: $600

    Touchup (6-12 weeks) $150

    ReFresh (1-3 years) $400

microblading + shading

FAQs

  • It is a cosmetic tattoo, also known as semi-permanent makeup and permanent makeup.

All styles/techniques involve carefully implanting pigments into the skin using a microblade or permanent makeup machine. After healing, it offers long-lasting enhancement without smudging. Unlike traditional tattoos, cosmetic tattoos are designed to be subtle; this is what allows them to gradually fade over time.

Different techniques cater to specific skin types and desired results, emphasizing that cosmetic tattooing isn't one-size-fits-all. While microblading suits those with normal to slightly dry, non-reactive skin, alternatives exist for oily, sensitive, thin, or textured skin in the eyebrow area. Various techniques ensure beautiful brows tailored to you.

  • The style of eyebrow technique depends on your skin and how your hair grows naturally. There are many things that can affect the style we choose. If you're not sure what you want, don't worry. Before we start, we'll have a detailed conversation to talk about all your options for shape, style, and color.

Different styles have different effects and work best for certain skin types. To find the right style for you, we consider your skin type, skin texture, lifestyle, how your eyebrows naturally look, and what you want to achieve.

At your first appointment, we work together to find the perfect style for you.

  • Cosmetic tattooing is designed to fade over time and typically requires maintenance between 1 to 3 years. Factors such as skin type, lifestyle, age, metabolism, medications, sun exposure, and how well pre-care + aftercare instructions are followed can affect the longevity of the cosmetic tattoo. Touch ups are normal and expected for permanent cosmetics.

  • Topical 5% Lidocaine with epinephrin is used to make you comfortable, however pain tolerance varies from client to client. Having the procedure during your menstrual cycle may increase your sensitivity. Most clients state it wasn’t nearly as bad as they thought it would be and tend to fall asleep.

  • Touch ups are required 6-12 weeks after your initial treatment because the healing process varies form person to person. Based on your skin type, immune system, genetics, and how well the pre/after care instructions were followed,

We won’t be able to tell how your cosmetic tattoo will truly look until it is at least 6 weeks healed. Seeing a healed first session allows us to adjust treatment to optimize lasting results.

Most looks take at least 2 sessions to create. On occasion, some clients may desire a 3rd session to achieve desired results.

All Touchups are charged separately and must be completed within 6-12 weeks

  • Its important to keep in mind FRESH and HEALED work look diffrent. All fresh looks no matter the technique/style will soften and lighten as it heals beneath the skin.

The amount of pigment retained will heavy depend on if the style/technique was appropriate for your skin type, medical history, and your ability to adhere to the pre-post care instructions.

  • Shape, size and placement are dependent on your facial structures and natural brow growth that you have. I will carefully take measurements of your face and map out the ideal shape based on your unique features and brow goals.

Once mapped out we work together to ensure you have a new shape you are excited about before we begin the procedure.

The color choice is based on your skin tone and natural color of your eyebrow hair. The goal is create an enhancement that blends seamlessly into your natural brow hair.

  • Initial appointments take approximately 3- 3.5 hours.

This includes the consultation day of, mapping out your new shape, application of the cosmetic tattoo, aftercare instructions and before/after photos are taken.

Touch-up sessions take approximately 2 hours.

  • True healed results are not seen until at least 6 weeks after any cosmetic tattoo is performed.

Day 1 – will appear sharp, detailed, slightly red or irritated

Day 2-5 – they become darker and raised as they form a light scab. Color in this phase can appear 40-60% darker than healed result.

Day 5-12 – the scab naturally exfoliates, peels and flakes away over the course of several days. DO NOT PICK. The fresh skin underneath is whitish with a waxy coating, brows will appear lighter than final result

Day 12-30 – The color will slowly come back darker as the new skin settles and heals. Wait at least 6 weeks to see the true color and healed results.

Day 30+ – Cosmetic Tattoos are a 2 step process, you should not expect to see full results after one treatment. Your look is built with soft buildable layers. The second appointment is to fine tune your shape, fill in any areas, touch up any light spots and also to assess how your skin reacts to the process, and the chosen color.
