THE PROCESS
Your First Appointment

We’ll discuss your goals and select the right pigment type and color to enhance your natural lash color and skin undertones.. After applying a topical numbing cream, I will carefully tattoo the lashline filling in the space where your natural lashes are to create natural-looking definition. The result is a soft, fuller appearance without the look of heavy makeup.

Healing Process

Your lash line will appear darker and bolder at first and some experience minor swelling, Over the next 7-10 days, the color will soften and fade by about 30% as it heals into the skin. Around week 6 the color will bloom into its healed hue. 

Touch-Up (6-12 Weeks Later)

All cosmetic tattoos are built up over at least 2 session. This essential touchup session is where we asses your healed result and further build up the color and perfect your look. 

Long-Term Results

Your look can last 1-3 years before a refresh is needed, depending on lifestyle and aftercare.

Your healed results depend heavily on proper pre and post-care. Preparing beforehand and following aftercare ensures the best outcome. Some skincare products and treatments need to be avoided beforehand, and certain medical conditions may affect eligibility. Please review before booking!

FAQs

  • A topical anesthetic is applied for 10-20 minutes prior to the treatment to reduce discomfort. Most people report a “scratching” sensation that is tolerable. People with sensitive skin may experience more sensation, but again, the sensation is tolerable.

  • Cosmetic tattooing is designed to fade over time and typically requires maintenance between 1 to 3 years. Factors such as skin type, lifestyle, age, metabolism, medications, sun exposure, and how well pre-care + aftercare instructions are followed can affect the longevity of the cosmetic tattoo. Touch ups are normal and expected for permanent cosmetics.

  • Preparation plays a crucial role in how well your skin will accept the procedure.

    Here are general guidelines for the lash line area:

    • No lash growth serums for three months These serums can sensitize the area and increase the risk of pigment migration.

    • Lash extensions must be removed at least 2+ weeks prior. Avoid putting them back on for 4 weeks post touchup.

    • Wear your glasses, leave your contacts at home and please arrive with no eye makeup on.

    • No lash lifts/tints at least 2 weeks prior and must wait 2 weeks after touch up

    • If you have had any type of eye surgery, consult with your physician about how long you should wait before having Lash Enhancement tattoo done.

  • After your procedure, an aftercare kit with detailed instructions will be given to you.

    FOR 5 - 7 DAYS:

    • Use a fresh pillowcase and avoid sleeping on your face.

    • Do not wear contact lenses.

    • Keep the area very dry.

    FOR 10 - 14 DAYS:

    • Avoid sweaty exercise

    • Avoid steam, long hot showers, saunas, swimming, hot baths

    • Avoid eye makeup, mascara, and eyeshadow. Use a fresh mascara once healed.

    • Do not expose the area to dirty or unsanitary conditions.

    • Avoid face-down swimming, lakes, and hot tubs for the first 10 days.

    • Do not rub, pick, or scratch the treated area; this can cause scarring or loss of color.

    • Let the scab naturally slough off.

    FOR 4 WEEKS:

    • Avoid direct sun exposure/tanning. Wear a hat/sunglasses when outdoors.

    • No facials, active skincare, AHAs, Retinols, chemical treatments, lash extensions or lash growth serums.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    Day 1: May be some swelling by the end of the day.

    Day 2: May be some swelling, but should go down by the end of this day or the next.

    Day 3-5: The treated areas may feel dry; this is normal.

    Over the next 30 days, they will enter a light phase once the scab falls off. Gradually, the healed color will emerge. As with all cosmetic tattoos the true healed results won’t be seen until approximately 6 weeks, which is when you can return for the 6-12 week touchup to build up and perfect your look.

    The color can be customized from a darker brown to bolder black. I only tattoo the upper lash line. Not the eyelid or bottom lash line. The width and thickness of the tattooed line is determined by the size of your natural lash line.
